Code Apps, a preview capability, let developers build custom web applications in code and connect them to Power Platform, with access to more than 1,500 connectors, Microsoft Entra authentication and managed Power Platform infrastructure. The skill sets up a Vite, React and TypeScript project configured for Code Apps, runs it on port 3000 as the Power Apps SDK requires, installs the Power Apps SDK package at the version it specifies, and initializes the project with the Power Platform CLI through pac code init. It also covers connector configuration. It is useful for developers building a business app in Power Apps who want a code-first front end with React. Because the platform is in preview and the packages change, the versions the skill names should be checked against current documentation, and the connectors the app uses should be given only the permissions it needs. The skill is installed with the skills CLI from the github/awesome-copilot repository.
