About pptx-reference-deck-analysis

pptx-reference-deck-analysis
Analyzing a reference PPTX for read-only structure, theme, typography
pptx-reference-deck-analysis is an agent skill from the wshobson/agents collection for analyzing a reference PowerPoint (PPTX) deck as design evidence. The skill is read-only: it never copies, clones or changes the source deck. It extracts what a new deck needs to know about its style, including the slide count and size, text summaries, shape counts, colors, fonts, the use of master slides and layouts, and the rhythm of layouts across the deck. A full extraction gives a summary, the slides and a read-only layout tree. Folder diagnostics produce one result per deck and a manifest, so several reference decks can be compared. Style-master analysis reports the colors, fonts, size distribution and flow patterns of the master slides. A derived template catalog records each layout by a zero-based index, with its role, the usable regions, its placeholders and its constraints, so later steps can choose a layout by purpose. The skill runs small task-local python-pptx scripts on demand and captures only the information the new deck needs. Its rules treat reference decks as design evidence rather than as content or as a source of images, fonts or logos, and it does not copy external assets without recorded licensing evidence. It is installed with the skills CLI from the wshobson/agents repository. Its skills.sh page showed about 2.3K installs and a warning from Snyk, with Gen Agent Trust Hub and Socket passing, at the time of the scan.
