About pr-to-video

P

pr-to-video

Turn a GitHub pull request

pr-to-video is an agent skill from the HyperFrames project that turns a GitHub pull request into a code-change explainer video. The input can be a PR URL, a reference in the owner/repo#number form, or the phrase this PR in a checked-out repository. The skill reads the change with the gh command-line tool, then plans and builds the video frame by frame in HyperFrames. The video can be a changelog, a feature reveal, a fix explainer, or a similar format. The input is code rather than a website, so there is no capture step and no real assets beyond the contributors' avatars. The skill acts as an orchestrator that runs a fixed sequence: setup, which creates a hyperframes.json file; ingest, which saves the extracted change and the contributor avatars; a design system written to a frame file; a storyboard and script; an audio step; a visual design pass; the frames as HTML compositions; and a final render to an MP4. Setup, the storyboard and the final render are gated on the user's approval. The work is kept in an external project folder, not in the repository the change came from, unless the user chooses otherwise.
