Description
pre-mortem is an agent skill that runs a pre-mortem risk analysis on a PRD or a launch plan. It imagines that the launch has failed and works backwards to find the real causes. Its risks are sorted into three groups: tigers, which are real problems that need action; paper tigers, which are overblown concerns that deserve less time; and elephants, which are the unspoken issues that nobody wants to raise. For the launch-blocking tigers it proposes action plans to reduce them before launch, when there is still time to act. The skill takes the view of a veteran product manager and is built to separate legitimate threats from worries that only feel serious. You give it the PRD or launch plan, and it returns the sorted risks with a plan for the ones that matter. It is useful shortly before a launch, when a team needs an honest look at what could go wrong. The skill is part of the pm-skills collection by phuryn and is listed on skills.sh as free.…
