About product-capability

Translate PRD intent, roadmap asks

product-capability is an agent skill from the ECC collection by affaan-m, listed on skills.sh. It turns product intent, such as a PRD, a roadmap item, a discussion or a founder's note, into an implementation-ready capability plan. The plan makes the constraints, invariants, interfaces, data, lifecycle and policy implications explicit before any code is written. It is for cases where the question is not what to build but what must be true before building starts. Typical triggers include a feature that crosses several services, repos or teams and needs a capability contract, and senior engineers repeatedly restating the same hidden assumptions in review. The skill points to a durable artifact: it updates an existing product-context file such as PRODUCT.md or a docs/product folder if the repository has one, and otherwise creates a capability manifest from a template. A skill is a SKILL.md file of instructions that an AI agent loads when a task calls for it. It is free and open source, and the skills.sh listing shows a Snyk warning, with Gen Agent Trust Hub and Socket passing.
