publish-to-pages

Publish presentations and web content to GitHub Pages

publish-to-pages is an agent skill from the github/awesome-copilot collection that publishes presentations and web content to GitHub Pages, producing a live URL. It accepts PPTX files, PDFs, HTML, or a Google Slides presentation and converts them into a web page, then handles creating the repository, adding the files and enabling Pages. Before it starts, the skill checks the prerequisites: the GitHub CLI must be installed and authenticated, and Python is needed for PPTX conversion, while the poppler utilities are optional for PDF conversion. It detects the input type from what the user provides. Publishing puts content on the public internet, so the skill should be used only for material the user is allowed to make public, and the user should confirm before the page goes live. It is useful for sharing a deck or a web page with an audience without a file server, and for putting static documentation online. Anyone with the URL can view what is published, and a repository that is made public cannot easily be made private again without changing its links, so the content should be checked before it goes up. The skill is installed with the skills CLI from the github/awesome-copilot repository. Its skills.sh page showed about 1.8K installs. At the time of the scan, Gen Agent Trust Hub and Socket passed and Snyk showed a warning.
