Search local markdown knowledge bases, notes, docs, and wikis with QMD

qmd is an agent skill from the tobi/qmd project, listed on skills.sh. It searches local markdown knowledge bases, including notes, docs, wikis, transcripts and project knowledge bases, using QMD, which stands for Query Markdown Documents. The skill tells the agent to use it before a web search when the answer may already be in indexed local files. Its workflow has three parts: search for candidate documents, retrieve the full source with qmd get or qmd multi-get, and answer from the retrieved text, citing the file paths or document IDs. The skill is firm that snippets are only leads, and an answer about facts, decisions, quotes or nuance must come from the full text rather than from a search snippet. It suits people who keep a large body of markdown notes or a wiki on their own machine and want an agent to answer questions from that material with the sources shown.
