About react-performance

react-performance
React and Next.js performance optimization patterns adapted
react-performance is an agent skill from the ECC collection by affaan-m, listed on skills.sh. It sets out performance optimisation patterns for React 18 and 19 and for Next.js, adapted from Vercel Engineering's React best-practices rules, which are published under the MIT licence. The rules are organised by priority, with decision-tree guidance for code review and refactoring. The skill covers diagnosing slow page loads, slow interactions and high client CPU use, auditing bundle size and Core Web Vitals regressions, removing waterfalls in Server Components and API routes, reducing client-side re-renders, and optimising long lists, animations and hydration. It applies when writing or reviewing React or Next.js code for performance, and when auditing optimisation choices in pull requests that touch app, pages, components or data layers. A skill is a SKILL.md file of instructions that an AI agent loads when a task calls for it. It is free and open source, and the skills.sh listing shows all three security audits passing.
