About remotion-captions

R

remotion-captions

Transcribing, displaying and animating captions

remotion-captions is an agent skill from the remotion-dev skills collection for working with captions in a Remotion video project. It covers three jobs: transcribing speech into captions, displaying them on screen, and animating them. The skill sets one rule up front: all captions are handled as JSON using the Caption type from @remotion/captions. That type has a text field, startMs and endMs timings in milliseconds, a timestampMs field, a confidence score that may be null, and an optional pageBreakAfter flag that marks where a caption page ends. Keeping captions in this shape means the agent can display and animate them consistently, whatever produced the transcript. The skill is meant for projects that already use Remotion, and it is installed with the skills CLI from the remotion-dev/skills repository. Its skills.sh page showed about 159.7K installs at the time of the scan and passing results from three security audits.
