remotion-upgrade is an agent skill from the Remotion team's skills collection, listed on skills.sh. It upgrades Remotion and its related packages in a project. First it inspects the project's manifests and lockfile to find the package manager and any workspaces, and it is told to preserve any unrelated changes. If the @remotion/cli package is available locally, the skill runs npx remotion upgrade, which also updates the project-local Remotion skills, and the manual steps are skipped. Without the CLI, the skill finds the latest stable Remotion version with npm view, then finds every installed remotion and @remotion/* dependency across the project and moves them all to that exact version. It keeps their dependency sections and the workspace or catalog conventions. It then reads the @remotion/studio dependencies for the target version and aligns auxiliary packages such as zod, mediabunny and @huggingface/transformers with the versions listed there. Finally it runs the project's own package manager to update the lockfile, and it updates the installed Remotion skills. It is for developers who want their Remotion project on a current version without breaking the packages it depends on.
