Description
runtime is an agent skill from the CopilotKit project's skills collection, listed on skills.sh. It covers @copilotkit/runtime, the server half of CopilotKit. The runtime accepts AG-UI protocol requests, sends them to an agent, either built in or external, runs the output stream through an AgentRunner, and replies as Server-Sent Events. The package can be mounted as a fetch-native CopilotRuntime on any JavaScript server, and developers can wire middleware, choose an AgentRunner and create a BuiltInAgent, including in Factory Mode. The skill's core is a mental model of the three dictionaries a developer hands to CopilotRuntime. Like the frontend skill, it is an index that points to a reference file for each task, so the agent reads only what applies. The runtime is also the part that handles SSE and Intelligence transport, middleware and transcription in CopilotKit v2. It is for backend developers who need to serve CopilotKit agents from their own server.…
