About shuffle-json-data

shuffle-json-data
Randomize JSON object arrays while validating schema consistency
shuffle-json-data is an agent skill from the github/awesome-copilot collection for randomizing the order of a JSON array of objects without corrupting the data. Before it shuffles anything, it validates the input: every object must share the same property names and structure, and the skill rejects files with inconsistencies or with nested objects in its default mode. It requires a JSON file as input and pauses to ask for one if none is given. Only once the file has been confirmed to be safe to shuffle does it reorder the entries, and the result is written as valid JSON. The skill is useful for generating test data, shuffling repetitive records for an experiment, or randomizing the order of items in a dataset to remove an ordering bias. It is written for a data engineer's care for integrity: the shuffle changes the order and nothing else. Because shuffling can be used to produce a random sample or a training split, the purpose should be clear, and the original file should be kept so the change can be checked. The skill is installed with the skills CLI from the github/awesome-copilot repository. Its skills.sh page showed about 8.7K installs and passing results from three security audits at the time of the scan.
