About simpy

simpy
Builds, inspects, tests
simpy is an agent skill for building, inspecting, testing and analysing process-based discrete-event simulations with SimPy. It is for event scheduling, resource queues, interrupts and similar systems, such as production lines, logistics, networks, service operations and inventory. SimPy provides the event scheduler and the modelling primitives. The skill is clear that SimPy does not choose a scientifically valid conceptual model, an input distribution, a warm-up period, a run length, a replication count, an estimand or a causal interpretation. Those are part of the simulation study's methodology, and the skill treats them as such. The skill reviewed the current release and installation against the official documentation and the released source on 1 October 2026. Use it when you need to model queues or resources over time and want the simulation code to be correct, and when you need help with the design of the study around it. It is part of the k-dense-ai scientific agent skills repository on GitHub, which has about 49,600 stars. The listing shows it as free, and it has about 1,800 installs. Its security audits show passes from Gen Agent Trust Hub, Socket and Snyk.
