About taste-skill

taste-skill
Skill collection that improves how AI tools write frontend code
Taste Skill is a set of agent skills that push coding agents to design websites with a clear art direction instead of assembling a generic landing page. The default skill, design-taste-frontend, works in six steps: it reads the brief and lists what only this client has, deals three of twenty researched design directions for the agent to choose from, finds one idea that ties the client's own material to that direction, and builds the page with real pictures and footage from open collections, credited in the page. It then checks the page in a real browser at three widths, fails it on generic patterns, and looks at its own screenshots to fix the top problems across up to three rounds. The project says the default skill was built from a study of 247 curated sites. A build takes roughly 30 to 45 minutes and a few hundred thousand tokens. The default skill runs its scripts with Node 22 or newer and needs Chrome, Edge or Chromium installed. It needs no API keys, but finding pictures requires network access. Skills are installed with the npx skills CLI, a Claude Code plugin or a Codex plugin, and the repository has an install script that can link them instead of copying.
