testing FAQ

What test types exist?

.sqltest suites for SQL compatibility, legacy TCL .test files, Rust integration tests, and fuzz tests.

Which format should new tests use?

The .sqltest format in the conformance suites is preferred for new tests, because one case can run against multiple backends.

How do I run the main suite?

Run make test, which includes the TCL compatibility tests, the sqlite3 compatibility tests and the Python wrappers.

Are TCL tests going away?

The skill says TCL tests are being phased out in favor of the .sqltest suites.

How do I install it?

Run npx skills add https://github.com/tursodatabase/turso --skill testing.

What security audits has it passed?

skills.sh lists three audits: Gen Agent Trust Hub Pass, Socket Pass and Snyk Pass.

What are the best testing alternatives?

Popular alternatives to testing include differential-fuzzer, debugging and storage-format. See all testing alternatives
