About track-management

track-management

Creating, managing, or working with Conductor tracks

track-management is an agent skill from the wshobson/agents collection for creating and managing Conductor tracks, the logical work units that organize features, bugs and refactors through specification, planning and implementation. The skill is a guide to the whole track lifecycle, from creation to completion. It covers creating new feature, bug or refactor tracks, writing and reviewing the spec.md file that states what the work should achieve, and creating and updating the plan.md file that sets out how it will be done. It explains the status markers and conventions used to show where each track stands, how the tracks.md registry lists the tracks in a project, and how to interpret and update the metadata each track carries. The skill keeps tracks consistent across sessions, so an agent or a new team member can see what is in progress and what is finished without asking. It applies when creating a track, writing or reviewing a spec, updating a plan, moving a track through its lifecycle, reading status markers, and keeping the registry current. The guide is meant to keep the record accurate, so tracks should be updated as work changes rather than at the end. Detailed patterns and worked examples are kept in a reference file that the agent reads when the main guidance is not enough. The skill is installed with the skills CLI from the wshobson/agents repository. Its skills.sh page showed about 10.1K installs and passing results from three security audits at the time of the scan.
