Description
understand-domain is an agent skill that pulls business-level knowledge out of a codebase: the domains the software covers, the business flows it runs, and the steps inside each flow. It turns that into an interactive horizontal flow graph in the Understand Anything dashboard, so non-engineers and new team members can follow what the product does rather than how the files are arranged. If the project already has a knowledge graph, the skill derives the domain view from it, which is quick because it does not rescan the files. If there is no graph, it does a lightweight scan that reads the file tree, finds entry points and samples key files. Pass the --full flag to force a fresh scan even when a graph exists. When run inside a git worktree, the output is written to the main repository so it is not lost when the session ends. It is useful for product, onboarding and documentation work on an existing codebase.…
Highlights
- Extracts domains, business flows and process steps
- Draws an interactive horizontal flow graph in the dashboard
- Reuses an existing knowledge graph when one exists
- Falls back to a lightweight scan with --full to rescan

understand-domain FAQ
What does understand-domain produce?
A dashboard view of the business domains, flows and steps found in the codebase, drawn as an interactive flow graph.
Does it scan every file?
Not by default. With an existing knowledge graph it derives the view from that graph. Without one it does a lightweight scan of the file tree, entry points and sampled files.
How do I force a fresh scan?
Add the --full flag and the skill rescans even when a knowledge graph already exists.
How do I install it?
Run npx skills add https://github.com/egonex-ai/understand-anything --skill understand-domain.
Is it free?
Yes. It is listed as free on skills.sh.
Where does the output go when I use a git worktree?
The skill redirects the output to the main repository root, because worktree data folders are removed when the session ends.
