About update-screenshots

update-screenshots
Update the committed blocks-ci screenshot hashes after the "Screenshots & Tests"
update-screenshots is an agent skill from the Microsoft VS Code repository, listed on skills.sh. It updates the committed screenshot hashes for the blocks-ci gate after the Screenshots and Tests check fails, or investigates a screenshot diff reported on a pull request. Screenshot images are not stored in the repository. They live in an external service and are keyed by commit SHA, but a subset of fixtures is pinned by hash in a committed file. The skill explains the two outcomes of the check. A screenshot diff report on the pull request is informational, so it needs only a review of the visuals and nothing to commit. A hash mismatch for a blocking fixture fails the check, and the committed hash file must be updated. Only fixtures marked as blocking appear in that file. It applies when a pull request's screenshot check fails or a diff needs investigating. A skill is a SKILL.md file of instructions that an AI agent loads when a task calls for it. It is free and open source, and the skills.sh listing shows a Snyk warning, with Gen Agent Trust Hub and Socket passing.
