web3-testing

Test smart contracts comprehensively using Hardhat and Foundry

web3-testing is an agent skill from the wshobson/agents collection for testing smart contracts thoroughly with Hardhat and Foundry. It covers unit tests for individual contract functions, integration tests across several contracts, and mainnet forking, which runs tests against a copy of the live Ethereum network so that contracts can be checked against real deployed protocols. The skill covers fuzzing, which feeds a contract large numbers of random inputs to find edge cases a person would miss, gas optimization testing, which measures what functions cost to run, and automated test coverage reporting. It also covers verifying contracts on Etherscan so their source code can be read publicly. The skill includes a Hardhat testing setup as one of its core sections. It applies when writing unit tests for smart contracts, setting up integration test suites, measuring gas use, fuzzing for edge cases, forking mainnet for realistic tests, producing coverage reports, and verifying contracts on Etherscan. Passing tests do not prove that a contract is safe, so the skill should be used alongside the security guidance and an independent audit before any contract that holds value is deployed. The skill is installed with the skills CLI from the wshobson/agents repository. Its skills.sh page showed about 10.6K installs and passing results from three security audits at the time of the scan.
