About bmad

bmad
Answers BMad questions and recommends the next skill from what is installed
bmad is the advisor skill of the BMad Method project. It answers questions about BMad, recommends the next skill to use from what is installed, and helps you find where to start. The skill presents itself as the BMad agent, a guide across every BMad module the user has installed, who knows what each skill is for and how they fit together. It will run skills on request and can set up and maintain the installation itself. Its advice is meant to be direct and opinionated, and it is expected to answer in the configured communication language. The skill has three actions it hands off to reference guides: setup, which covers installing, updating, repairing or checking the installation, adding a module, or changing a configuration answer; migration, which converts a project's artifacts to a newer version of a module; and initiative, which chooses, creates or clears the active initiative. All other requests are treated as help, and help answers must come from the installed modules' own documentation rather than from memory or from guessing from skill names. That keeps its advice tied to what is actually installed. The skill suits teams adopting the BMad Method who want a guide through its many skills. Because it can change the installation and migrate project artifacts, review the changes it proposes before it applies them to a shared project. The skill passes Gen Agent Trust Hub and Snyk on skills.sh, and Socket shows a warning. It has about 10,700 installs. Install it with npx skills add https://github.com/bmad-code-org/bmad-method --skill bmad.
