About convex-optimize

convex-optimize
Audit and optimize an existing Convex app: security, scale, upgrades
convex-optimize is an agent skill for auditing and improving an existing Convex app. It is the remediation workflow: it opens with a scored assessment, then acts on the result by upgrading stale components and setting up observability. The assessment itself is handed to a separate launch-readiness skill that produces one scored, de-duplicated set of findings, and convex-optimize's own job is the actions it takes on those findings. It follows a plan, confirm and apply pattern, so the agent proposes changes and waits for approval before applying them. Its workflow starts by detecting the app: it checks for a convex directory, reads the schema, and works out whether the deployment is anonymous or a cloud deployment. The areas it covers are security, scale, upgrades and observability. The skill is part of the get-convex agent-skills repository and is added to a compatible agent with the skills command. Its audits passed with Gen Agent Trust Hub, Socket and Snyk. It suits teams with an app that has grown over time and need a prioritised plan to tighten security and performance, and then want the agent to carry out the approved steps.
