About embedded-captions

embedded-captions
Add captions or subtitles
embedded-captions is an agent skill from the HyperFrames project that adds captions or subtitles to an existing single-subject talking-head video without changing the footage. It offers three caption styles chosen up front from a catalog of 35 identities. Standard is the default and builds a clean, verbatim subtitle rail, a lower-third line that carries most of the text, with an embedded caption at the peak of the video, composited into the scene behind the speaker. Cinematic uses only embedded captions, with no rail: every caption sits behind the subject, and the typography, accumulation and occlusion are the effect.Theme builds a themed design with a body style, a hero setpiece, a front effect and a background reaction, for effects-heavy requests. The skill says that most explainer and voiceover work should use Standard, since embedding every word is a common mistake and the embedded caption should be an earned peak. The skill needs its plugin's bundled command-line tool for matting, transcription and rendering. Local preview and caption measurement also need Sharp, Puppeteer with Chromium, and GSAP, which are installed in the caption project rather than in the read-only plugin.
