About hard-call

hard-call
/em:hard-call — Framework for decisions with no good options
Hard-call is a framework for decisions that have no good options, the kind that keep a founder up at night. The examples include firing a co-founder, laying off a fifth of the team, killing a product customers love, pivoting, or shutting down. The skill starts from the premise that these decisions have no right answer, only a less wrong one, and its aim is to help you find that option. It explains why such decisions are hard even when the data is clear: real people are affected, the decision has often been avoided so the problem has grown, the choice is hard to reverse, and your own feelings about the outcome cloud your judgment. The framework then works through a structured pass that combines a 10/10/10 test, which asks how you will feel about the choice in ten minutes, ten months and ten years, with a regret-minimization check. You run it with the hard-call command and the decision you face. It is part of the claude-skills collection by alirezarezvani and is listed on skills.sh as free.
