About managed-airflow-migrations

managed-airflow-migrations
Provides guidance for migrating Apache Airflow DAGs in Managed Service
Managed Airflow migrations is an agent skill for adjusting Apache Airflow DAGs so they run on a newer Airflow version. It applies to DAGs from an existing Managed Service for Apache Airflow environment, formerly Cloud Composer, or to DAG files you have locally. The target versions are Airflow 2.11.1 on Managed Service for Apache Airflow Gen 2 or Gen 3, and Airflow 3 on Gen 3. The skill works in phases, starting with discovery and download. It downloads the existing DAG files only when you ask for that, and it inspects the source environment to confirm its Airflow version only when you request it, so it does not touch an environment unexpectedly. A reference explains how to inspect environments and download files. The skill is useful for data engineering teams who need to upgrade their Airflow version and want the DAG changes reviewed in a structured way rather than found by trial and error. It is published by Google on skills.sh under the google skills repository, with about 3.9K installs. The skills.sh listing shows Gen Agent Trust Hub, Socket and Snyk all passing.
