About tdd-rust

tdd-rust
TDD workflow for RTK filter development
tdd-rust is an agent skill with a test-driven workflow for building filters in the RTK project. It enforces red-green-refactor for all RTK filter development, with two extra steps that suit a tool which trims command output. The loop starts with a red step that writes a failing test using a real fixture, then a green step with the minimum code to pass, then a refactor step that keeps the tests passing. After that comes a savings step, which checks that the filter cuts the output by at least 20 percent, and a snapshot step, which locks the output format with insta snapshot tests. The skill says never to write synthetic test data: you capture real command output and use it as the fixture, so the tests reflect what the tool actually sees. It is for contributors who add or change filters and want each change proven against real output and measured for token savings. The skill auto-triggers during filter work. It passes Gen Agent Trust Hub, Socket and Snyk on skills.sh. Install it with npx skills add https://github.com/rtk-ai/rtk --skill tdd-rust.
