About convex-sentinel

convex-sentinel
Set up Sentinel production error capture in your own Convex deployment
convex-sentinel is an agent skill that sets up production error capture for a Convex app. It installs the @convex-dev/sentinel component, which records production errors into a table inside your own Convex deployment. These include server function failures, client-side JavaScript and React crashes, and signals about write conflicts and scale. Errors are redacted at write time, so sensitive values are removed before they are stored, and the skill says the data never leaves your deployment. The skill's workflow adds the component to convex/convex.config.ts and wires the client SDK, including a React error boundary that catches crashes in the interface. Once errors are being captured, other skills can react to new ones. The skill is part of the get-convex agent-skills repository and is added to a compatible agent with the skills command. Its audits passed with Gen Agent Trust Hub, Socket and Snyk. It suits teams that want error visibility for a live app without sending error data to a third-party monitoring service.
