About close-month

close-month
Closes the books and turns them into a decision as a three-link chain
close-month is a command from Anthropic's knowledge-work plugins, listed on skills.sh. It closes the books for a month and turns the result into a decision, as a chain of three steps that run in order: close and reconcile, then forecast from the closed books, then publish. The first step runs the month-end-prep process, which reconciles the ledger against every connected payment processor and produces a reconciliation table, flagged items such as uncategorised transactions and suspicious duplicates, a P&L narrative and a close packet in Excel and PDF. The owner must triage or skip every flagged item before the later steps run. A ledger is required, from MYOB, NetSuite, QuickBooks, Xero or Zoho Books, and the command stops if none is reachable. The options set the target month, which defaults to the previous calendar month, and where the packet is saved: to Drive or OneDrive, to the desktop, or to both. It suits finance teams who want the close, the forecast and the publication to happen in a fixed order from one command.
